About The Authors
Dr. R. Rex Immanuel was born on 27th July 1974, in an agrarian village Nesarpuram, Kanyakumari district of Tamilnadu. The author did his M. Sc. (Agri.) and Ph. D (Agronomy) from Annamalai University, Tamilnadu and now working as Assistant Professor in Agronomy, Faculty of Agriculture, Annamalai University. He has qualified National Eligibility Test conducted by ICAR-ASRB in 2004.
His research area specialization is Coastal Agro-ecosystem Management. He has been teaching courses on agricultural meteorology, agroforestry, climate change and biodiversity management and farming systems management to under-graduate and post-graduate students for the past 14 years. He has authored one book and published research articles in national and international journals and also presented research papers in national and international seminars and conferences.
Dr. M. Thiruppathi, did his B.Sc (Ag) in the year 1998, M.Sc (Ag) in Agronomy during 2001and Ph.D in Agronomy with specialization of cropping system and irrigation Agronomy from Annamalai University in the year 2007. He has qualified National Eligibility Test conducted by ICAR-ASRB in 2001. He has been teaching courses on weed science, irrigation agronomy, dry farming, agroforestry, organic farming and farming systems management to under-graduate and post-graduate students for the past 15 years and presently he is Assistant Professor in Agronomy. He has published 22 research articles in various national and international scientific journals. He also attended and presented more than 15 national and international seminars / conferences. He won a best paper presentation award at international and national level conferences. He is supervising M.Sc (Ag) and Ph.D scholars. He authored two books. He has successfully organized three national seminars as secretary and joint secretary. He authored two books. He operates research projects as principal investigator and co–principal investigator.
Dr. A. Balasubramanian have graduated in B.Sc. (Agri.,) during 1996, Post Graduation in 1998 and earned his Ph. D in Agronomy with specialization in nutrient management in rice- blackgram relay cropping system in the year 2013 from Annamalai University. He has ten years teaching and research experience and published 12 research papers in various national and international scientific journals.
He has participated in number of national and international conferences, seminars and workshops. He worked in National Watershed Development for Rainfed Agriculture (NWDPRA) and Western Ghat Development Programmed (WGDP) and having a deep knowledge in forestry and agroforestry. Since 2006, he has been teaching courses on agroforestry, organic farming and farming systems to under graduate students. His present position is Assistant Professor in Agronomy, Faculty of Agriculture, Annamalai University.
