About The Authors

Dr. Avinash B. Ade, is working as Senior Professor, Department of Botany, Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune. He has 24 years’ experience in teaching and research. He has published 65 research papers in the national and international reputed journals. He has published 6 books. He is the life member of the professional societies like Marathwada Botanical Society, Maharashtra Society of Genetics and Plant Breeding, Indian Society of Genetics and Plant Breeding, Indian Society of Plant Pathologists, Indian Ecological Society.

He is currently working in the field of bioremediation in which Plastic waste management, Oil degradation, Pesticide degradation, Bioextraction of metals have been emphasized. Under plant microbe’s interaction he worked on Rhizosphere and Air-Mycology, Biocontrol of crop diseases, Endophytic fungi of crop plants and medicinal plants.

Dr. Shaikh Shafikh Mahebub, is working as an Assistant Professor and Head, Department of Botany, at AKI's Poona College of Arts, Science & Commerce, Camp, Pune-411 001 (MS), affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune. He has completed M.Sc. and Ph. D. in Botany from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad Maharashtra, India. He has attended more than 60 National and International conferences. Having 10 years’ experience in teaching and research he has published 22 research papers in the national and international reputed journals and delivered invited talks.

Currently he is working in the field of Bioremediation in which, Bio extraction of metals has been emphasized. Under plant microbe’s interaction he worked on plant growth promoting Rizobacteria and soil Microbes.
