About The Editors
Dr. Ameya Anil Patil is currently Assistant Professor at MIT World Peace University for School of Management. He teaches Behavioral Finance, International Finance, Financial modelling and General Management subjects including entrepreneurship management. His qualifications include PhD in Commerce and Management discipline, on IFRS topic, MBA(Finance) from Pune University, Pune; B.E.; NET; SET; CAIIB; Lean Six Sigma Green Belt; and PGDIB. He was the Head of department for BBA and BBA-IB at Sinhgad College, Pune. He has been called for several conferences and seminars as a resource person/ guest speaker. Dr. Ameya Patil has 9 years of teaching experience and 3.5 years of Industrial experience.
He previously worked as an Assistant Manager with IDBI Bank. He has written more than 15 books and 12 research papers related to various topics in Finance, Management and International Business. He is a member of Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (IIBF) and ASCB (UK). His research papers have been published in Scopus and ABDC journals as well.
Dr. Shantanu Saha is an Assistant Professor in the School of Leadership, Dr. Vishwanath Karad MIT World Peace University, Pune. He formerly worked at Mittal School of Business, Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab, and PSIT College of Higher Education in Kanpur. He holds a Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Technology, Dhanbad. He was awarded with the UGC-Junior Research Fellowship in 2012. Dr. Saha holds two utility-based patents and is acknowledged with high-impact research publications in the field of social marketing in journals of national and international renown listed in SCI/Scopus. He reviews books/articles for Springer, Elsevier, and Inderscience.
Dr. Saha, a Google Professor and a registered Digital Marketing practitioner, led numerous teams in the Google Online Marketing Challenge (GOMC). He has been certified as an Innovation Ambassador by the Institutions Innovation Council, Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India. He earned the PSIT Group, Kanpur, Best Researcher Award for 2019 and 2022. His co-authored research papers won the Best Paper Award at the sixth Global Leadership Research Conference in 2021, hosted at Amity Business School in Noida. His research area of interest is Consumer behaviour, Brand, Social Psychology, Behavioral Finance, Tourism and Entrepreneurship.
About The Book
The events since the beginning of the 21st century, revolving around financial aspects, including the global recession of 2008 and the Euro crisis have ignited huge interest in this field amongst the masses, the academicians and the researchers. The said events highlighted the importance of effective and prudent financial management at the individual level, corporate level and the Government level. At the same time, the changing landscape of finance and the business world, including proliferation of Internet and regulatory overhaul has altered several financial activities and has a bearing on investment decisions.
Taking cognizance of these things, the book makes an attempt to integrate academic financial aspects with the research arena through the chapters related to different facets of financial world.
